However, the Knicker Tickler from the Grrl Toyz range by Topco intrigued us enough to make us give it a go, so lets see if it more than just a novelty or a clever clitoral vibrator?

I’ll be totally honest it’s not the first time we’ve seen the phrase Knicker Tickler emblazoned on a sex toy product and they have never really tickled our fancy. However, there was something different about this one by Grrl Toyz with the design and photos on the website giving the impression that the toy that had really been thought about.
On arrival, we were glad to say our initial impressions were good and on unwrapping the toy from the adult packaging we were greeted with a vibrator that showed great promise with a sleek design that looked like it could achieve what it promised to deliver.
There was one feature that was clear about this toy and that is that it’s clearly a vibrator for one. We could not find a way of bringing it into foreplay and we tried a bout of solo play ensued that left my husband to simply indulge in the sights, which is not a bad thing.
However, what we did find is that it can be used in a certain way for foreplay, which is detailed in the following tale.
Sunday morning had arrived which was the time I got the house completely to myself and this morning was the clearest morning we’d had for months. Firstly, I have to mention a few things that niggled me about this toy. For me personally I knew that the Knicker Tickler was never going to make me climax and will be used as as a precursor to sex or another vibrator. Another downside is that the bullet is only single speed, which I think is also linked to why it’s never going to take me to orgasm. There is no room for this in a couple’s foreplay and for me, when we tried, it just felt like it got in the way.
However, what the Knicker Tickler by Topco does have in its favour is that its well made, really nicely designed and the only one of it’s kind that has done what it says in terms of being contoured to the shape of may body making it stay securely where I want it in my panties.
This made it fantastic for using as foreplay as described above, it made me really relaxed; really excited; really wet and ready for more.
Furthermore, the design feels solid and comfortable with a slight edge that runs between your lips. This also gives the added treat of delivering the hot or cold temperature right inside you, rather than just on the front of your vulva like other toys.
This brings me to the unique feature that you can heat this toy up or throw it the fridge to chill out. The only other toy I’ve found this feature with is glass toys and when I have done that with glass I’ve found the experience quite wet due to condensation. This is what initially concerned me about this vibrator coupled with it being advertised as being able to be worn under clothes. However, I was pleasantly surprised as I felt no wetness or condensation and at no time felt like anything like this would soak my panties, clothes or my rather luscious Chaise Longue.
This is the feature that really intrigues me and gives the hope that this toy is a long term played in my toy box, or anywhere else I’d want to keep it. As I would love to try this in some hidden naughty ways and would have no problems wearing this under clothes as it’s very discreet, very quiet and doesn’t give any sign of it being worn. Later on I wore if under my clothes, not for pleasure, just to see if my husband or as it turned out and unexpected guest would notice any peculiar going on. From starting off thinking this was another one to throw in the gimmick pile we’ve actually gone beyond the look and image to find that behind all that is actually quite a unique, innovatively designed sex toy which does provide something different than other toys out there and does deliver the promises it makes in its promotional material.
