A Review of the Basix 8 Dildo
A Review of the Basix 8 Dildo

My partner and I use realistic dildos regularly during foreplay and prolonged sex sessions. He likes the look of a realistic cock and uses dildos on me for my pleasure and to build up his arousal. I think he enjoys the thought of me with another man in the comfort of our own four walls and I like to play along with the sexual fantasy. I don’t use a dildo for masturbation so with this in mind a realistic dildo has to suit us both with an emphasis on realism and feel.
We were expecting basic before the 8” Basix dildo turned up due to the name. We have already brought and regularly use Doc Johnson sex toys which cost in excess of £45 so our expectations regarding the Basix 8” were realistic. The packaging did indeed seem basic with a simple clamshell and a simple product label. Although the general presentation is low key the dildo itself does initially impress. The size and shape are very good and my partner certainly approved from the point of realism. The shaft is a good thickness and the penis head shaped to fulfil his fantasy in use. We usually find that the dildos realism ends at the balls and in this case the example wasn’t the worst we had seem but in reality is more a handy shape to grip in use. When opening the packet it was nice that the dildo didn’t have a strong odour, many we have tried emanate their smell from the bedside cabinet and although its not necessarily unpleasant we would prefer a fainter scent. On examination the impression was very good but the proof is in the pudding as they say!
My partner always warms the dildo before he uses it on me; it has become part of our sex toys etiquette in the bedroom. The Basix warmed very easily and the material felt divine on contact. The initial entry is always telling and my expectations were truly exceeded, the Basix feels very real on entry and very different from the silicone dildos I have tried. The rubber warms like silicone but is softer, with a strong core much like the real thing. The material used is also phthalate free so I have to question my favourite versions at double the price. The length of the dildo was surplus to requirements as many are but the width felt great and not so big that I couldn’t relax around the shaft. My reaction really pleased my partner who enjoyed me telling him how true to life it felt! He enjoys just popping the dildo tip in and out, which felt great on the Basix 8” due to the pronounced head and the realism certainly served to re-enforce our fantasy.
The Basix was certainly very good value for money and we couldn’t see that we sacrificed anything for a rubber toy rather than silicone. The dildo is body safe and hypoallergenic which is important to us and the design was very good for a sex toy in a low to mid price range. We would certainly recommend this to a couple who enjoy using a dildo as part of foreplay and although I didn’t use it for masturbation would expect any girl to enjoy it alone.
