The G-Spot
The G-Spot

What is it?
The G-spot (Prostate in the male of the species) otherwise known as the grafenberg spot named after Ernst Grafenberg who first described in in 1944 is a highly sensitive area inside the vagina against the front vaginal wall which can give immense pleasure when stimulated. The prostate for the guys is a small gland located within the perineum – the area between the testicles and the anus which secretes prostatic fluid the main component of semen.
Where is it?
The female G spot is about 5cm inside the vagina on the front wall. You should be able to find it with your finger. If you are not sexually aroused it will be about the size of a pea, when aroused the size of a 2p. You should be able to feel the g-spot as a rougher area amongst the smooth walls of the vagina. The male prostate can be reached internally about an inch or so along the wall of the rectal lining that faces the front of his body. Try to locate a round bulb of tissue — this is the prostate and gentle massage can make for explosive orgasms.
Why bother trying to find it?
The g-spot does not necessarily mean one thing to all people! Some profess not to have one, some describe it as a knobbly bit which when touched makes them want to pee and some describe it as a highly sensitive area providing hours of pleasure. Really you need to keep in mind that the outcome of experimenting with your g-spot might bring you any of the above results and if you are fortunate the latter. The general consensus though is that it is well worth finding out! The first step is to try to locate the g-spot with your finger. Insert it up to your second knuckle and move your finger in a ‘come here’ motion towards the front wall of the vagina, Alternativley use a g spot vibrator an inexpensive sex toy & an instrument designed to help locate your G spot. Experiment with pressure and length of stroke and make sure you are suitably aroused before you begin. The girls also recommend trying at different points in your cycle as this can make a difference to its sensitivity. The first sensation may feel like you need the loo possibly because the g-spot is located on the front wall of the bladder. Make sure you empty your bladder before you begin and try a few times most women say it’s worth it!
We find that many of our couples and men in particular are experimenting with anal play and discovering the benefits of this sensitive area as part of a great sex life. Whereas some men only like having their prostate touched when they are fully aroused, others feel that having their prostate stimulated increases their erection and leads to bigger and better orgasms. In some cases men don’t need their penises stimulated at all because the feeling from the prostate stimulation is enough to achieve orgasm alone! Start by using a well lubricated finger to penetrate the anus and progress to the Prostate Massagers, sex toys which specifically target this wonderful male pleasure zone.
Our Boudoir boys and girls have come up with some tips on the subject!
- Rear-entry/doggy position is best during intercourse to stimulate the G-Spot as the penis presses against the front wall of the vagina, particularly with the man on top and a pillow beneath hips.
- To directly stimulate the G-spot lay your partner on her back and kneel between her legs using the thumb of your other hand to gently stimulate her clitoris. At the same slowly insert two fingers as far as is possible and comfortable into the vagina and rub against the bottom of the vaginal opening, pressing upward with the tips of your fingers until you are touching her G-Spot. Move your fingers from side to side exerting pressure upwards. If the fingers are pointed more sharply upwards you can rock forwards and back in a circular motion with consistent, firm pressure along the entire length of the vaginal walls.
- Thrust your fingers in and out simulating a penis intercourse style then exert pressure upwards when withdrawing so that the G-spot is involved. There are sex toys such asThe Rock Chick designed to stimulate the G spot in this way.
- The woman's pleasure is increased if her partner licks her clitoris and stimulate her G-Spot at the same time.
- For him, a blow job feels fantastic when your partner uses a Tantus pro touch or similar prostate massager at the same time.
Another method is:
- The woman lies on her belly with her legs spread apart and her hips slightly raised.
- Insert your fingers with your palm down, into her vagina and explore the front wall.
- The woman moves her pelvis to make contact with your fingers.
- When the woman becomes very aroused, slip the other hand under her abdomen above her pubic hairs and slowly press.
Once you have found your G spot & you can revisit it time after time, you can try more adventurous G spot vibrators & even a G spot rabbit vibrator if you want to indulge in sexually gratifying clitoral & G spot stimulation!
